Borrowing Policy:

The Library of Graham participates in the interlibrary loan program that permits borrowing materials from other libraries for its patrons. Borrowers must be in good standing with their card account. Books and articles not owned by the Library of Graham may be requested. Recordings, microfilm, and genealogy materials may be requested but are often difficult to obtain. Materials borrowed from other libraries can only be sent for the loan period specified by the lending library. No renewals are allowed. Libraries charge a fee for this service. Check our fee schedule for current cost. Items requested will have a fee assessed to your library card. Fines for overdue ILL materials is .50 cents per day. Lost items are charged a replacement cost and a $30 processing fee. Requests that staff determines violate copyright laws will not be accepted.

Lending Policy:

Any decision to loan materials is made at the discretion of the library director or designated staff. The library does not loan local history material, genealogy books, multimedia, bestsellers, periodicals, holiday books, reference books, or materials with a publication date within the last two years. Request must be initiated through a library. Loan period is four weeks. No renews. Borrowers will be notified when unable to fulfill request. The Library of Graham will assess a fee on lost items equal to the replacement cost of the item plus a $30 processing fee. The borrowing library is responsible for the payment of this fee.
